Our Giving Mission

In 2010, the UN General Assembly recognized access to safe and clean drinking water, and sanitation, as a human right. Yet according to a 2017 report by the World Health Organization and UNICEF, 2.1 billion people lack access to safe, readily available water at home, and 6 in 10, or 4.5 billion, lack safely managed sanitation. Without access to safe water and sanitation, people are at greater risk of disease, some of which can be fatal.

27Teas is more than just tea, it is a company on a mission to help others. We are excited to use tea as a way to make a difference. We know water is critical to a good cup of tea, but it is also something that many of us take for granted each day. 27Teas will donate a percentage of each sale to a non-profit working to bring clean water and sanitation to all who still need it.

With each cup of tea brewed, remember that you are part of the mission.

Cheers!

Margaret Gay – Chief Tea Lady

Our Tea Mission

We want to change the way people in New England, and beyond drink tea. We want every cafe to offer delicious and amazing tea options, just like they do for coffee. We want loose leaf tea to be the norm, un-intimidating, and at a price that means it can be enjoyed daily.
